ILSA mourns the loss of Mitch Meisner

ILSA is sad to hear of the passing last month of Mitch Meisner, a longtime Jessup judge and all-around Friend of the Jessup.

Mitch was a partner at the Honigman law firm in Detroit (USA) for more than 40 years, specializing in real estate development and finance.

Mitch joined the Jessup community in 2005, when he was already well established in the practice of law. Over the last twenty years, he was a fixture at the International Rounds and also judged at more than 30 National and Regional Rounds over the years, including in Russia, China, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Italy. He was an excellent “teaching judge,” guiding oralists with his questions and his commentary to strive to improve their arguments and their presentation, and a delightful companion and interlocutor in the judges’ room and at parties and other social occasions surrounding the Jessup.

Our hearts go out to his wife and frequent Jessup travel companion Marcia, to his family, and to his network of dear friends around the world.

We will miss you, Mitch.
