All Rise: White & Case International Rounds to Return to In-Person in 2023
ILSA is excited to announce that the 2023 White & Case Jessup International Rounds will be held, in person, on 9-15 April 2023 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Washington, DC.
This will be the first International Rounds held in person in four years. We look forward to gathering with the next generation of Jessupers as well as our incredible FOJ community to celebrate international law and education.
Information about National Rounds will be announced in the coming months, as details are finalized. The Jessup 2023 problem will address the interpretation of a peace treaty, deadly attacks in allegedly occupied territory, unilateral economic sanctions, and the legal consequences of failing to dispose of hazardous waste properly. Jessup 2022 Dillard Award Winners Announced
The annual Hardy C. Dillard awards are named in honor of the late Judge Dillard of the International Court of Justice, who was a longtime supporter of the Jessup Competition.
The Award is presented to Teams for excellence in Memorial writing by comparing top Memorials across participating jurisdictions. Memorials of the Teams scoring the highest at Qualifying Rounds, and Memorials of the Teams scoring in the top 20 at the White & Case International Rounds are considered for the Award.
