Student Director Larissa Rebello returns to ILSA Board

The final Student Director to join the ILSA Board for 2023-2024 needs no introduction. Larissa Rebello, a fifth-year law student from Brazil, is returning for her second tour as a Student Director. Having competed in the Jessup as a first-year student, Larissa was inspired to pursue a career in International Law. Since that time, her commitment and interest has only grown stronger, and we are thrilled to welcome her back.

Smriti R. Saroja joins the ILSA Board as Student Director

Smriti R. Saroja joins the ILSA Board of Directors as one of our newest Student Directors. In the final year of her legal studies at Tamil Nadu Dr Ambedkar Law University in India, she participated in Jessup 2023 and qualified for the Round of 32 at the White & Case International Rounds. Smriti now looks to strengthen her relationship with ILSA by embarking on a new chapter as a Student Director. Passionate about Public International Law, she hopes to increase the engagement among young legal minds around the world and is excited to be a part of ILSA’s vibrant community.

Meet the newest ILSA Student Director, Stanislau Lashkevich. Stanislau holds International Law degrees from Belarus and Ukraine and is currently finalizing his Master’s studies in International Law at the Geneva Graduate Institute. Jessup 2023 Richard R. Baxter Award Winners Announced!

We are pleased to announce the winners of this year’s Baxter Awards. Named in honor of the late Richard Baxter, an eminent and pioneering scholar of international law and Judge of the International Court of Justice, the Award is presented to Teams for excellence in Memorial writing by comparing individual Applicant and Respondent Memorials. The Memorials of Teams that receive the Alona E. Evans Award and/or the Hardy C. Dillard Award are considered. The winner of the Baxter for Best Applicant Memorial is Harvard Law School (USA) and Best Respondent Memorial is Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (India). Congratulations to both teams!
